Daniel and the Lions Den

For he is the living God
and he endures forever;
his kingdom will not be destroyed,
his dominion will never end.
He rescues and he saves;
he performs signs and wonders
in the heavens and on the earth.
He has rescued Daniel
from the power of the lions.
– Daniel 6:27

Instagram post 2287677927774908259_229434844 We respond with obedience.
A reminder that if you profess Jesus is Lord then we need to submit to His Word.
Jesus said "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him." (John 14:23)
Instagram post 2285486482418707756_229434844 See what a morning, gloriously bright
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes
Tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce Christ is risen!
See God’s salvation plan, wrought in love,
Borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man, for He lives,
Christ is risen from the dead!
See Mary weeping: ‘Where is He laid?
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name:
It’s the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope,
Bringing peace to us,
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!
One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit
Who clothes faith with certainty,
Honour and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned
With power and authority!
And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won
Christ has conquered;
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!

Instagram post 2153116325432886361_229434844 In the week that Michael Jackson died, I visited the Mournes for the first time - my brother and I did our first ascent of Slieve Donard following the more northerly path from Bloody Bridge (the opposite side of the usual quarry track route). It felt fitting that I revisit the area where I first started to finish with an ascent of Crossone (545m) - the 55th and final peak of my Mournes challenge in 2019.
